Course Description: This two-day ScrumMaster certification course provides everything you need to begin leading or participating in a Scrum team. On completion, participants are granted a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, (www.scrumalliance.org) a valuable resource for Scrum information, and following the successful completion of a brief online examination, are registered as Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs).
You will learn the essential concepts and tools of Scrum, differences between agile processes and traditional "waterfall" methodologies, and how to build a roadmap for adopting Agile at your organization. Participants will learn how to lead development teams towards agile operations by: managing product backlogs, planning releases and sprints, tracking and reporting progress, and conducting retrospectives. This course is taught by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer and leading Agile practitioner Sanjiv Augustine.
Trainer: Sanjiv Augustine is the author of several publications including Transitioning to Agile Project Management: A Roadmap for the Perplexed, The Lean-Agile PMO: Using Lean Thinking to Accelerate Agile Project Delivery and the book Managing Agile Projects (Prentice Hall 2005); and the founder and moderator of the Yahoo! Agile Project Management discussion group. Sanjiv is also a founder and advisory board member of the Agile Project Leadership Network (APLN), and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) ’s Agile Community of Practice.
